I submitted a package request a few days ago for libupnp in the EPEL 7 Beta repository. I notice that other packages have made it into the repository, but the libupnp library has not.
I presume there was a reason for the package not being added, but I wanted to confirm whether the package will never be added to the repository?

How did you request it, and what exactly did you request?

I made the request as recorded in the following page:
https://fedoraproject.org/w/index.php?title=EPEL%2Fepel7% 2FRequests&diff=374158&oldid=374133
That is, on the epel7/Requests page I filed a request for the libupnp library, which as I understand was previously in EPEL 6, so I put the EL-6 tag next to it.

Are you intending to maintain it? The epel6 branch is orphaned, so the acls were copied from that branch and it has no owner.
If you want to maintain it you should be able to login to pkgdb and take it. If you're not a packager, the correct way to request a package is via a bugzilla request (or request here), the request page is for package maintainers.

Aaah, thank you, that makes sense now. I didn't realize that the request page was only for package maintainers. I do not currently maintain any packages on Fedora, and someone is already maintaining Fedora packages for the application (RetroShare) that I was trying to install. I was interested in libupnp because it is a dependency for RetroShare; I am not doing any development with it directly.
I appreciate the clarification. Thank you.
