Hi,
Presently RHEL6 is shipping with CMake 2.6.x, and there seems to be no interest from the maintainer in updating the RHEL packages to CMake 2.8.x. So, I made a parallel installable cmake28 package (with all binaries renamed to cmake28 etc). Review request here:

Comments, reviews etc welcome.
Cheers, Jonathan.
smoothly update?

I'm not entirely sure what your question is, but to clarify: this cmake28 package is designed to be installed alongside the RHEL shipped cmake package - i.e. it does not conflict with or replace the RHEL chipped cmake package, and is not an update to the RHEL shipped cmake package.
