We don't currently have the resources to support that model, but if Red
Hat decided to fund HSS providing a long term support version of Beaker,
then we could likely make it happen. Maintaining such a branch would
come at the expense of feature development for the main Red Hat Beaker
installation though, so it's a pretty tough business case to make at
this point in time.
If we eventually adopt Alembic (automated database migrations for SQL
Alchemy based applications), we may also be able to make feature updates
involve fewer manual steps.
