You can make out speech played via HDMI, but it is really distorted.
After a time it sounds normal, ie undistorted. It used to occur the
every time when a computer was booted. Now it seems to occur after it
comes out of sleep mode.
Analog audio plays fine. These machines have a variety of sound
adapters in them and all of them act the same.
Is anyone else experiencing this ?
I had a similar problem on an Ubuntu box. Just opening pulseaudio fixed
the buzz, etc. I did not have to do anything besides opening that
application.
