You can see that i have 3 kernel-PAE.i686. I'm afraid to remove everything does
the command you gave recognize the spaces after the first argument. What would
be the right command on my case. Is this correct:
yum remove kernel-PAE.i686 2.6.34.8-68.fc13
Thank you
Adam,
You are not going to endear yourself with the Fedora List members by
replying to the wrong thread and then starting a new out of context
thread. Your apology should have gone to the thread you interrupted.
And you should have replied from your original post.
If you can not keep track of which thread is which I highly recommend
that you get yourself a Google Gmail account.
As for your question you do not have to do anything about the F13
kernel. It will be removed from your system after the next kernel
update by yum, packagekit, or kpackagekit. (The default limit is to
keep 3 kernels.) If you want to remove the F13 kernel yourself then
read on.
The yum output does not reflect the naming convention used by the
packagers. The correct package name is
"kernel-PAE-2.6.34.8-68.fc13.i686"
Use "sudo yum remove kernel-PAE-2.6.34.8-68.fc13.i686".
