The image is about 4.9 Gbytes, while DVDs can't hold more then 4.7 Gbytes. Am I the only person to notice this? It looks like the image will have to be split between RPMS and SRPMS.

After reading messages on other lists, there was discussion on the development list. The idea is to either trim the distro, seperate the binaries and srpms into seperate DVD images, make the srpms only available from mirrors, etc:
You might want to read the archives from the development list. There was no related discussions on the test list regarding the dvd size for x86-64.
