How *do* you run this exactly? Which command do you enter?

I suppose to run the disk test routine, you can just boot your system
with the disks, run through the routine, then abort the setup.
A Sharpie is a brand of fine point permanent marker that is sold here in
the US. I think they are also commonly known as china markers. It's
just a permanent marking felt tip pen.
