isn't that content out of date? since it refers to "kernel-src" rpms,
and not "kernel-devel" rpms?
No, it's not out of date.
The kernel-xxxx.src.rpm contains all of the kernel source code and is
suitable for rebuilding the kernel (and all modules) itself.
The kernel-devel-xxxxx.arch.rpm is one of the products of rebuilding
kernel-xxxx.src.rpm and contains just the headers etc. necessary for
building out-of-tree modules for that particular kernel.
