I guess it depends on whether you expect the screen to scroll in the
direction of your finger, or the screen to move in the direction of
your

You can think of moving the window over the page (the way we are mostly
used to here) or moving the page under the window (the "natural" way).
Could this be a side effect of touch screen scrolling?
I believe Macs have defaulted to "natural" for a long time.
