It IS mounted, see ***** above.
You've installed your / onto the Logical Volume on the 2nd hard disk.
The /dev/mapper entries control the LV on the second hd.

I believe I understand. So it is, as I thought, "one big hard drive". And I will
be unable to save things to the 2nd hard drive. Correct?
