I have been trying to listen to audio cd's /mp3's in linux,I
have a dual
boot
Fedora/Xp system. Linux is able to recognize the files on the cd's but
it just would not play when I try to use Audio player. This happens
for both regular cd audio as well as mp3 files.
I tried to see whether Linux is able to play anything or not , so
when I used ' test sound ' in sound options, it did play that.
ZeroCOOL
Due to license issues Red Hat can not integrate mp3 support into Fedora.
You may go to
rpm.livna.org or
freshrpms.net to get the mp3 codec. Or
use a free codec with your music like ogg.
