Hi,
I just installed f7 on a new box. Once the machine is up and running the mouse pointer disappears. The mouse is working because if I move it carefully I can use it to navigate the menus at the top of the screen. I was able to turn on the option to highlight the mouse when the ctrl key is pressed which allows me to kind of operate the machine.
I have installed all of the updates but I cannot figure out how to get the mouse pointer to show up. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this.
I am not running any of the nVidia propriatory modules and I would like to avoid that if possible.
Below is the output of lspci:

We need a lot more information about your computer. Does it include Windows? Does the mouse work there?
I loaded F7 twice and then deleted it twice but the pointer worked both times.

No windows on the machine. The mouse does work normally in anaconda. What other info would you like?

I too have it running on 2 other boxes and it works as advertised. I really like it. FWIW the mouse pointer is visible during the graphical boot. It just disappears once the login screen comes up.

Hi Tom, well then you have a REAL Mystery :-)
My guess is it's the video card or the monitor. Yes it worked with the simple anacanda loader but when it switched to full color something changed and the cusor is hidden. What a wierd problem :-!

had this same problem with FC6. actually i still have the problem every time i try to update xorg. i have to add the following to xorg.conf:
Option "HWcursor" "false"
in the "Device" section.
i believe that might solve your problem.
I've seen the same problem on F7 install. It most likely has to do with nvidia drivers, and most definitely video drivers in general. As a workaround, you can set the mouse pointer to software rendered mode (normally, the pointer is hardware-accelerated)

I too suspect as much but...

How do I switch it?

Sounds like: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3009
Solution: Disable HWCursor in Xorg.
Example: /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section "Device" Identifier "Videocard0" Driver "nv" Option "HWCursor" "off" EndSection
Hope this helps.

FWIW, this does not happen with the nvidia drivers on a GeForce 6150 provided the norhgb option is provided to the kernel. (I had the same problem with the nv driver).

Similar information is mentioned in the bug report.
