The system is a single CPU Athlon 800 MHz, running FC3, all updates,
with kernel 2.6.12-1.1372_FC3.
An update...perhaps the audio player is not suspect now. I've
had another occurance of the system locking up while it was completely
idle (no audio player). The lockup again seemed to be triggered
when the KVM switched back to this system. Neither mouse nor
keyboard (both USB) would respond. But as the system is also no
longer accessible via the network, I assume it's truely locked up
and it's not only an input device or KVM problem.
Could this be a kernel 2.6.12-1.1372_FC3 issue; perhaps something in the
USB drivers? I've never seen this lockup situation prior to this last kernel.
