Not totally fair IMO. This kind of tissue box effect is in my view a symptom
that it is time to split glabels into two component packages: a core tool that
can be invoked directly with label data, and some kind of helper that sucks on
external data sources and invokes the core tool.
Every time something like this happens (tissue box effect above, pulling in
cruft), it gets harder and harder to install minimal or even just frugal
systems.
Fair enough, but isn't there a simple mail maker that one could
use for
stuff like printing a CD with some info just to remember what kind of info
has just been burned?
Using GIMP is kind of overkill.
Can't help you there, though I too would like to have an answer for this.
