Hi!
I have a similar problem: every time evince starts, it does with a
large window (which cover my wm panel bar) which I have to resize.
I'm running F13 with openbox (and with gnome-settings-daemon running
in background).
Under F12 had no problem.
Any help would be very appreciated.
Best,

Same behavior here using Gnome + F13.
Cheers,
Germán.
