"/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/pgf/pgf.sty",
at least in an F8 tetex installation.

Hi,
The only pgf.sty in F9 is in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/pgf/basiclayer/pgf.sty
which does not even have the word pgftranslate. I wonder where the sty file you talk about
is. Does anyone know?
