You can enable the classic Start Menu style by right-clicking on the
application launcher (lower left corner) and selecting the option.
That's as far as it goes I think.

Ironcially, that particular feature (switching to classic start menu) is the
one thing that really irked me. It reminded me of a similar thing in XP,
with their 'settings'. I couldn't find the network settings until my son
told me about switching to the 'classic' view.
