I'm curious about getting a yubikey to use for 2fa, and wondering

chrome and
firefox running on the laptop. In this case, is any setup required,
or

For what it's worth, I recently got a key for use with an online bank.
Not a Yubikey but a cheaper alternative. I think I used the fido2-tools
package from the command line to initialise it, but frankly don't
remember clearly as from then on it was seamless on both Chrome and
Firefox.
My sense is that as long as it's rated FIDO2 anything should work.
