Have you got the rpm's 'hpoj' and 'hpijs' installed,one for printing

one for scanning,if not they are on the install disks. then run
"ptal-init setup" (NO " ) it's fairly straight forward it checks for
usb
ports if none then check your logs.When setup asks for a name I use
PSC_2110 (mine) and just keep hitting enter untill finished.

With David's help, I was able to get xsane working. Thanks, David! I followed
to the letter the above instructions and got there -- the only difference was
that I was never asked for the scanner name, and it picked up PSC2410 just
fine.
Doesn't FC2 rock?!
