I have a Hauppauge WinTV PCI card which worked after the first
installation of Fedora Core3 with the tvtime application. A
Firewire card had not been detected at that moment. As I wanted
to conncet an external disk by firewire I replaced another unused card
and moved the firewire card.
Now the external disk is working but the TV not.
Can anybody say howto reset to the initial hardware detection
and force a new one; kudzu did not solve it.

There seems to be an IRQ problem. Check your BIOS settings. Check the
output of "cat /proc/interrupts" and "cat /proc/pci". If nothing can
be
done from BIOS changes then use a different PCI slot for the Haupauge
card.
