Hello.
I have fresh install of FC2 with all updates, I also have read list archive and some online resources about SpamAssassin. I got it working (I can see the spam flags in the message headers (cit. below). The only thing that bothers me is fact that the subject of the spam message is untouched. I have option "rewrite_subject 1" and "subject_tag [SPAM]" in /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf and in ~/.spamassassin/user_prefs. Spammassassin is working OK (I hope so ;)) as you can see inthe headers below but could someone tell me why it doesn't deal with the subject line as it is supposed to do...?
Best regards
Krzysztof

It helps reading the docs coming with the source. Do it now, there were a lot of other changes from previous 2.6x version.
- The "rewrite_subject" and "subject_tag" configuration options were deprecated and are now removed. Instead, using "rewrite_header Subject [your desired setting]". e.g.
rewrite_subject 1 subject_tag ****SPAM(_SCORE_)****
becomes
rewrite_header Subject ****SPAM(_SCORE_)****

To get the [SPAM] tag you .procmailrc clause should look as follows: :0 *^Subject:.*[SPAM] spamjunk
This of couse puts the spam in a file called spamjunk in your mail directoru.

Sorry Aaron, that does not put any tag into the mail's subject line. This was not the question.

How is this answer related to the OP's question? ;)
