Maybe u should get them to download putty. Telnet isnt that secure. Anyway,
just start up the telnet daemon and it should be fine
So you want to connect to your computer at home from a public computer
at the college via telnet ? I wouldn't recommend doing that even with ssh
just in case someone installed a keyboard sniffer on that machine.
Transmitting clear-text passwords with telnet just asks for trouble.
