Hi,
I'm looking for a new CMS for our intranetpage, and foud basecmp (www.basecmp.de).
This CMS uses java and need a running Tomcat installation.
Now I was looking for some easy to use packages (rpm :-) ) and howtos for installing and setting up the system.
Dose anybody can point me to such sources?
Regards
Götz

You are on the wrong list :)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (Nahant) Discussion List nahant-list@redhat.com
www.jpackage.org has Java (j2re) and Tomcat packages.

I don't see from the Q how you can see this. I think tomcat didn't make FC3, but I expect it to be in FC4, and FC4 could be used.

I judged it from the subject line. Yes, Tomcat5 will be in Fedora Core 4. I used jpackage.org myself to install SUN's j2re and Tomcat5 on a CentOS 4 system, to get Open-Xchange running.

Hi, I thinking about Open-Xchange for my machine. Do you have some tips por FC3/FC4 installation?
TIA.

The Open-Xchange project site holds some howtos. It is worth to read them closely:
