Hello,
I am using the default in stall of bind on a default install of Fedora 1.
I opened tcp & udp port 53 on the firewall configuration but when I go to another machine and try to nslookup using my name server it times out the connection.
I can use other ports no problem.
Am I missing something in the way to open the firewall for bind to allow me to perform lookups remotley?
thanks Kelly

Did you do a "service iptables restart" after you made the changes to your /etc/sysconfig/iptables?
You might also want to post your /etc/sysconfig/iptables so that we can see if it's configured correctly.
