Hi,
I have a Samsung SCX4216F that I've successfully used with FC5 and the Samsung unified linux driver. After upgrading to FC8 I can't get the driver to find the unit (I'm using the driver from here: http://www.samsung.com/download/Model_Select.aspx?type=Multi%20Function%20Pr...). I can print using Cups without problems but in FC5 I used to also be able to use the scanner. I've also tried using sane to find the scanner without success. Anybody who has had any luck with this or similar units?
/Henrik

I have a Samsung CLX-2160N installed on my LAN. The Samsung driver did not find it so I just typed the printer details into the Samsung program.
For scanning I'm not sure the Samsung Linux software works, although the Samsung XP software does. I have to go to the printer whether I scan to LAN or USB key and actually the USB key is easier.

OK, thanks. Printing isn't a problem for me, I can use cups for that without installing the Samsung unified linux driver. It's just that the scanning part of it used to work just fine in FC5... I guess I should turn to Samsung about this...
