What does your /etc/fstab entry for your cdrom look like? Have you tried
adding exec to the mount options like
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro,exec 0 0

Hi, Alex,
thanx for the hint. It runs. Now, I remember: in RH 8, cdroms were standardly
executable mounted, and the first time were not was RH9, and therefore in FC1
too.
