Greetings,
On a fresh F18 install on a Dell D630 Latitude laptop, yum install of
google-earth-stable produces the following error:
Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/bin from install of google-earth-stable-6.0.3.2197-0.x86_64
conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.1-2.fc18.x86_64
Guidance?
Much thanks,

Hi
This is what I did to get google-earth working - brute force and ignorance !
Note this is version 7.0.2
ja@minix ~ 6$ rpm -qa|grep google-e
google-earth-stable-7.0.2.8415-0.x86_64
ja@minix ~ 7$ uname -a
Linux minix 3.7.5-201.fc18.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Jan 28 19:54:41 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64
GNU/Linux
wget
http://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/current/google-earth-stable_current_...
------------
yum install redhat-lsb.i686 redhat-lsb-printing.i686
yum install mesa-dri-filesystem-9.0.1-3.fc18.i686
yum install mesa-dri-drivers-9.0.1-3.fc18.i686
rm /etc/fonts/conf.d/65-fonts-persian.conf
(To restore the link if required later
ln -s /usr/share/fontconfig/conf.avail/65-fonts-persian.conf
/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-fonts-persian.conf)
rpm --force -i /global/db/sw/F18/google-earth-stable_current_x86_64.rpm
It works but I have have not used it enough to thoroughly test it
