Hi All;
I'm running Fedora9 & KDE 4.2 Every time I start Konsole it comes up with the size that the window was the last time I used it. I would prefer to have a fixed starting size (say 80x25). Is this possible ?
Thanks in advance...

A. Please don't cross post. (Read: posting the same message to different mailing lists) B. You're using KDE 4.1.2 and not KDE 4.2. (KDE 4.2 has yet to be released.) C. Settings -> Edit current profile -> Appearance -> Font -> Test size.

You may have to do some digging, to get the right numbers for W and H; but the following works for me with the font that I use:
W=664 H=520
for Y_RESOLUTION in 768 834 1024 1200; do kwriteconfig --file ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc --group MainWindow --key "Height $Y_RESOLUTION" $H done
for X_RESOLUTION in 1024 1280 1440 1920; do kwriteconfig --file ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc --group MainWindow --key "Width $X_RESOLUTION" $W done
konsole "$@"
