I can not get my USB devices to work under Fedora Core 1. I am trying
to get my Sony DSC-S70 digital camer to be recognised by the
system to
no avail. Other USB devices fail to be recognised as well. My USB
drive is not recognised.
Here is the output from syslog when the Sony DSC-S70 is connected.

These messages are ok. They mean you unplugged your USB device.

See the model DK23DA-20 and vendor HITACHI? You may need to add an entry to
/etc/ubdfstab.conf.default to prepare the mounting of the usb device. Your
Sony DSC-S70 will have a description of its own that you can use to make an
entry.

Same issue.
Also, once you are have troubleshooted your issue, always manually unmount
your device before unplugging it, especially if you are performing write
operations to it.
