I leave fetchmail running constantly, but it runs in daemon mode.
When it completes a download it then deletes the downloaded messages
from the server, then waits and restarts a new session.
Try running fetchmail in daemon mode
You can also try the -b <N> parameter. It will break down comminication
after <N> messages downloaded and delete the messages on the server.
This way, you can pinpoint the problem message
