Hi,
The proxy server is in a different machine. The proxy server in not allowed
to do ftp downloads. This is because not all internet users are permitted to
use ftp. The error says:
ERROR
the requested URL could not be retrieved

An FTP protocol error occured while trying to retrieve the URL:
ftp://ftp.somesite.com/....
Squid sent the following FTP command:
Connect to Server
and then received this reply

downloads from the machine the proxy server is on?
What exact "error message" do you get?
Paul.
