I have a pc with an Intel Core2 Duo E6600 processor.
Can I install the kmod-nvidia-1.0.9626-2.2.6.18_1.2798.fc6.i686.rpm from livna without problems (with regard to the dual core processor)? Does it adapt to or deal with the dual core processor.

I think you can just yum install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia and let it figure out the matching kmod package. Or were you looking for confirmation that the nvidia driver worked on Core2 Duo processors? If so I can't help you there, though I have a Core Duo processor and the nvidia driver works well here on FC5.

I was more or less looking for confirmation.
Thanks, Alexander

i use the nvidia kmdl packages from atrpms for x86_64 on my core 2 duo without problems at all. it's a mythtv box so i needed atrpms anyway.

Thanks, I wanted to know if there were any problems before I went to all the trouble of installing.
Are you satisfied with x86_64. I installed x86 because of the missing 64 bit plugins and tools like realplayer and flashplayer.
But now that windows vista x86_64 will soon be available we might get 64 bit versions of the above.

I don't see how anything that happens to/with vista relates to Linux.

absolutely. i don't need flash on this one. it's mostly a mythtv box. it runs quiet as ever and speedy as hell.
