Hi,
I am using fedora 11 with latest updates.
whenever I try to open a port using shell/webmin/built-in firewall admin, it shows that command worked fine and port is now open.
But when I use nmap it do not show the port as open. Even some other programs which needs those port, shows that port is not open.
This means there is no problem in nmap.
I have varified the entry for specific port exist in /etc/sysconfig/iptable Also the entry is specified before any reject rule.
I have posted a bug report on bugzilla(bug : 524509) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=524509 But no answer yet.
Can anyone help? Am I missing something?

---- you can't expect a bug report about firewall rules created by webmin to be considered a fedora problem.
Open a terminal and type...
sudo iptables -L
and you will see the current rules.
But if you want help with using webmin to create firewallrules, you should post to the webmin mail list... http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/webadmin-list
