well
i have done valid users = mar fred
but problem is that the system is configured to authenticate through
Windows Active Directory Server
and when i try to access the share i just created with valid users = may
fred
it doesnt authenticates me
seems there is a problem in authentication that Samba is confused about
that from where it should authenticate the given credentials
OK - the goal posts have moved :-)
I know nothing about AD, as I've never needed to use it. I think you should
now start a new thread that mentions both a samba share and AD. That should
grab the attention of someone who can help you further.
