Hi there,
I don't quite know how to say this technically, but here goes: having installed f18 x64, I thought I installed gnash in order to see streaming-video. Is there something I am missing besides this? When going to watch a video, the video says that it "couldn't find the plugin".
Start be saying what browser this is, and what version. Also, AFAIK gnash is for viewing Flash content. For other types of video you probably want other plugins.

I use both Firefox and Google Chrome; most of the time I use Chrome, however, neither play video. I'm not so internet savvy AFAIK. Chrome tends to play most stuff out of the box (it has some built-in video decoders), so the problem may be elsewhere. Does no kind of video work, or only some? What sites don't work: Youtube? Apple? Vimeo? Some random page with embedded Flash? Try to be more specific and give examples of URLs that don't work.
