Have you checked koji? or updates-testing enabled?
There aren't any 2.6.27 bulds for f8 on koji (and hence neither for updates- testing). The latest f8 kernel on koji is kernel-2.6.26.8-56.fc8.
That means if any user wants 2.6.27 on Fedora 8, he/she must compile it and/or build it with rpmbuild tools and specs.
Some users say that Fedora 9 has a 2.6.27 kernel, but I know only in updates testing, since the one that is common is 2.6.26.?? -76 or 79
