The drive is not really that old. I bought it at Best Buy a few months ago. Though I think it has been manufactured for a couple years now by Seagate. I know it is a UDMA 100 drive, 7200RPM.

Hi all. I get the following message on startup:
Journalled Block Device driver loaded hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC } ide0: reset: success
Is this a cause for concern. Does this mean I have a bad hard drive?
I'm not sure but I think you're right.. How old is this drive anyway??
