There is no SMART_HOST. This is the internet gateway. They have two Sendmail relays with Exchange behind them.

Hello,
I have put the following entry into virtusertable: user@domain.com user@machine.domain.com
Yes, I ran 'makemap hash virtusertable < virtusertable'
The problem is that mail is not being forwarded to machine.domain.com it is going to the mail relay listed in the MX record for domain.com.
I have run sendmail -bt and performed a /map check, and it returns the correct values.

mailertable:
machine.domain.com esmtp:machine.domain.com or if just using it's IP machine.domain.com esmtp:[123.123.123.123]

Is there a SMART_HOST involved? That is, is your server supposed to be connecting directly to the receiving server or is it relaying through your ISP's SMTP server?
