Hi guys.
Does anybody use Vivaldi? I've had for a few years but have used it only for specific subset of wwws. I've only recently noticed I do not get sound during video playback, Youtube and others. Can somebody confirm, using their yum/rpm packaged installation?
Sound works perfectly here.
rpm -q vivaldi-stable vivaldi-stable-5.6.2867.62-1.x86_64
Working here too
$ rpm -qa *vivaldi* vivaldi-stable-5.6.2867.46-1.x86_64
Is your sound working on other browsers?
When I start Vivaldi from cmd it reports:
libva error: vaGetDriverNameByIndex() failed with unknown libva error, driver_name = (null) [555346:555346:0202/094351.644278:ERROR:gl_surface_presentation_helper.cc(260)] GetVSyncParametersIfAvailable() failed for 1 times! [555346:555346:0202/094351.658140:ERROR:gl_surface_presentation_helper.cc(260)] GetVSyncParametersIfAvailable() failed for 2 times! [555346:555346:0202/094400.969901:ERROR:gl_surface_presentation_helper.cc(260)] GetVSyncParametersIfAvailable() failed for 3 times!
The first line I wonder if indicates something to do with sound.
vivaldi-stable-5.6.2867.62-1.x86_64 and f37, and libva-2.16.0-1.fc37.x86_64 libva-utils-2.16.0-1.fc37.x86_64
Furthermore, when Vivaldi plays back a video Fedora, in 'Sound' does not show a 'Volume Level' for Vivaldi while it does show for other apps. I did simple 'Reset .. to Default" in Vivaldi but that did not help the sound issue.
ps. I'm on AMD 4500U hardware.
many thanks, L.
