Finally I tried to use test kernel 2.6.11-1.7_FC3 and the boot from the USB HD works... So I suppose that the USB boot support and/or the mkinitrd command in the kernel 2.6.10-1.770_FC3 is definitively broken.

Hi all,
I configured my FC3 box (kernel 2.6.9-1.667) for booting from USB hard disk as described on http://simonf.com/usb. The kernel 2.6.9-1.667 boot from the USB HD unit without problems and all work flawlessy. Yesterday I tried to up2date my FC3 box and so I upgraded the kernel to the 2.6.10-1.770_FC3 but even done again the procedure of rebuilding the initrd image (as described on http://simonf.com/usb) the new kernel still doesn't boot giving everytime an early mount error (mount: error 6 mounting ext 3).
Any suggestions in order to solve that problem ?
Many thanks,
AP
