Now run memtest-setup. That will add the memory test to your grub menu. Mine looks like this after running memtest-setup:
title Memtest86+ (1.70) root (hd0,0) kernel /memtest86+-1.70 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
[root@localhost par]# memtest-setup bash: memtest-setup: command not found
whereis memtest does not reveal the whereabouts of memtest either. Is it installed under another name? The install does not give info about that. Brgds PAR
You need to run that as root.
From the # prompt, it looks like he is running as root.
[root@mikkel etc]# type memtest-setup memtest-setup is /usr/sbin/memtest-setup
So it gets installed, at least on a FC6 system...
