With the release of Fedora Core 5 Test 2, the Fedora Core Steering Committee would like to announce the transfer of Fedora Core 3 to the Fedora Legacy Project.
I would like the Fedora Core Steering Committee to change its mind.
Suely, the time to retire FC3 is after one can sanely upgrade to FC5. Say, a month after releasing FC5, not a month before.
This has always been the policy so far. FC X goes legacy when Fedora Z test 2 gets released. If you care about Fedora X at that point, join the Fedora Legacy team and contribute.
It seems John and I understand it. We still think it was an ill considered decision.
