issue with remmina
by Patrick Dupre
Hello,
I can make a ssh
and
vncviewer -via pdupre(a)192.168.1.12 :9
but remmina gives me:
could not authenticate with public SSH key suing SSH agent. Access denied for none. Authentication that can continue: publickey,gssapi-keyex,gaaspi-with-mic.password
How can I solve this issue?
Thanks.

a newbie question about how Fedora ecosystem
by David
I am only curious here, ( this is mostly about mirrors and
the Rawhide repo ):
After coding changes in each package get approved, by
someone in Fedora,
I assume somebody above them in the chain-of-command,
has the authority to upload that
package to the main Fedora mirror. Right ?
If so what happens next. Does that main mirror shake hands
( fist bump ? ),
with the lesser mirrors around the world ?
I assume that from the moment the coder sends his new
changes of a specific package to his Fedora contact, that it takes
a week to reach the Rawhide repo.
I see from my perspective that when the Fedora Rawhide
Compose is posted on the listserve that it is usually two or
three days, before I get that update for any package on the list ( if I have
it installed ).
Is some of the automated parts to any process above "continuous" or
does it require someone to hit the re-build button, every day or two ?
Here is a great example:
Package: soundtracker-1.0.0.1-1.fc33
Old package: soundtracker-0.6.8-31.fc31
From the moment, the developer of soundtracker ( or package
manager, etc ) emailed that new
updated package to someone at Fedora. How did the ball get
rolling ?
Did I leave out anything worth noting ?
I guess my next question would be: do the other major distros have a
similar or identical way
of doing all this upstream fancy stuff. OpenSUSE or Manjaro, for example ?
Thank you.

Problem running vncserver on Fedora 30 with MATE desktop
by Chris Card
I have a laptop running Fedora 30 and I want to run vncserver (from tigervnc-server rpm) with a MATE desktop.
My .vnc/xstartup file looks like this:
!/bin/sh
unset SESSION_MANAGER
unset DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS
#exec /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
dbus-launch /usr/bin/mate-session &
Everytime I start vncserver, the mate-session process crashes with a segmentation fault and I see stuff like this in /var/log/messages:
Apr 27 14:16:39 chrislaptop audit[23963]: ANOM_ABEND auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=3 subj=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:unconfined_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 pid=23963 comm="mate-session" exe="/usr/bin/mate-session" sig=11 res=1

I have successfully run a similar setup on an older machine running Fedora 29, so I don't know what is going wrong here.
Any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

Unless you leave your external USB drive plugged in,
in which case it takes 30 seconds to spin up so it can
decide there is nothing to sync :-).
That’s odd.
The data structures in memory should know if the dirty-flag is set or not.

nfs: server ipaddress not responding, time out
by Javier Perez
Hi
I had to unplug the ethernet cable from the nfs server.
After I plugged it back, the client machine is filling my journal with the
following message
nfs: server "ipaddress" not responding, time out
where ipaddress is the ip address of the nfs server.
I did a lazy unmount of all the shared directories, but I am still getting
this message.
If I try to use Thunar, it will not open up and even the panel will not
accept a click. I can switch windows with ALT+TAB
How can I find out whatever process is still trying to reach the nfs
subdirectories and kill it?
Last time this happened I had to reboot the system. I do not want to do it
again
Thanks
JP

Wacom Bamboo Ink?
by Matthew Saltzman
Has anyone used a Bamboo Ink or Ink Plus stylus with Fedora?
Fedora 31, up to date. Lenovo Yoga X1 second generation. Trying to use
a Bamboo Ink Plus stylus. I can pair it via Bluetooth, but I can't get
it to connect after pairing. When I attempt to connect, the Bluetooth
connection dialog window spinner runs for several seconds, then
indicates the connection is off.
Any advice about things to install to support this device would be much
appreciated.
If the Ink Plus can't be made to work, I can downgrade to the Ink. If
anyone has a better suggestion for a full-sized stylus, I'd welcome
that too.
The built-in Yoga stylus works fine, but it's not comfortable for
significant pen work.
Thanks in advance.
