Where's the bluetooth jargon demystifier?
by Tom Horsley
I go to the official bluez-utils web site and their documentation page
basically says "You don't want to look at our docs, they suck.".
I go to the official bluetooth web site and their documentation either
tells me why I ought to be making bluetooth devices or talks about
radio spectrum and communications layers.
Where is the web page that explains to a human what the gibberish
in the hcid.conf man page actually means?
All I'm trying to do is arrange for my bluetooth keyboard (which definitely
works with manual poking and prodding) to work automatically once
my fedora 8 system has booted. Seems like it ought to be a simple task :-).

Yes but it still comes up in level 5

The kernel line in grub.conf should take precedence. Is /etc/grub.conf
still a link pointing at /boot/grub/grub.conf or is it a regular file?

Missing dvb_demux.h and other dvb headers, em28xx module
by wwp
Hello folks,
Í'm attempting to compile some user-space driver for a em28xx-based
DVB-T device (Pinnacle Hybrid Pro).
gcc complains about missing dvb-related headers, that are not installed
w/ the kernel-devel packages. I wonder if I should add them manually
from the kernel sources package in /usr/src/kernel/...., but maybe
there's a better way to do it?
Also, whereas I can see that the em28xx kernel module is installed
(/lib/modules/2.6.24.4-64.fc8/kernel/drivers/media/video/em28xx/em28xx.ko),
trying to load it using `modprobe em28xx` as root gives:
# modprobe em28xx
FATAL: Module em28xx not found.
What am I missing? Any suggestion would be welcome!
Regards,

What's the state of the openvpn_enable_homedirs boolean on your system?
# getsebool openvpn_enable_homedirs

yum - presto and primary.sqlite.bz2
by Ric Moore
Has anything come of trying to get the dnload of primary.sqlite.bz2
presto-able? That would save a ton of time when updating. It's a royal
pain at slow connect speeds to have to dnload that sucker everyday. IF
it could be presto'd, that would be heaven. Thanks, Ric
