If I try to do an installation of FC3 with some extras that require disk 3, when I get to that point, I insert disk 3 and the message is "that is not the right disk". This even though the checksum on disk 3 at the beginning of the install was clean. Any thoughts on what might be going wrong? Same thing happens when I am trying to install various rpms that require disk 3.

Examine the file .discinfo on disk 3. It should contain the following:
1099518735.522378 Fedora Core 3 i386 3 Fedora/base Fedora/RPMS Fedora/pixmaps
If not, you did not burn the correct image on to the disk.
