triggered by upgrading gcc from 13.2.1-6.fc40 to 14.0.1-0.1.fc40.

[Bug 2260481] New: perl-Net-DHCP redundant buildreq:
perl(Test::Vars)
by bugzilla@redhat.com
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2260481
Bug ID: 2260481
Summary: perl-Net-DHCP redundant buildreq: perl(Test::Vars)
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Component: perl-Net-DHCP
Keywords: RFE
Severity: medium
Assignee: emmanuel(a)seyman.fr
Reporter: paul(a)city-fan.org
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: emmanuel(a)seyman.fr, perl-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
The perl-Test-Vars package is FTBFS with Perl 5.38 and I intend to retire it
soon since there has been no activity on this upstream for many months and I
can't fix it myself.
This is a test dependency in perl-Net-DHCP that is not actually needed because
the package build does not run the author and release tests.
Please consider dropping perl(Test::Vars) as a build dependency of
perl-Net-DHCP.
Also, the license changed upstream to MIT in 2022.
Reproducible: Always
