Bug ID: 1509104
Summary: package request for perl-RPM2, or rpm-perl; providing
RPM[2].pm
Product: Fedora EPEL
Version: epel7
Component: perl-RPM2
Assignee: jplesnik(a)redhat.com
Reporter: mysticknight487(a)aim.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: jplesnik(a)redhat.com, kasal(a)ucw.cz, lkundrak(a)v3.sk,
perl-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
I apologize if I didn't file this correctly after reading the bug writing
guide,
Description of problem:
perl-RPM2 rpm was provided for EPEL 6 and EPEL 5 providing RPM2.pm. Here is a
package for EPEL 7 that provides either RPM2.pm or RPM.pm as rpm upstream seems
to have renamed the module in the subpackage rpm-perl since rpm-4.4.4 as stated
in bug 184530. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=184530
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
perl-RPM2 >= 0.68 (The version provided in EPEL 6)
potentially perl-RPM2 = 1.0
How reproducible:
No EPEL 7 package for perl-RPM2
download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/x86_64/Packages/p
Steps to Reproduce:
[Under CentOS 7]
1.# yum install -y epel-release
2.# yum install -y perl-RPM2
Actual results:
No package: perl-RPM2 available.
Error: Nothing to do
Expected results:
perl.x86_64 <version>
......
perl_RPM2.x86_64 <version>
Complete!
