[Bug 1165554] New: Request to retire perl-ZMQ-LibZMQ3
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1165554
Bug ID: 1165554
Summary: Request to retire perl-ZMQ-LibZMQ3
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: perl-ZMQ-LibZMQ3
Assignee: jose.p.oliveira.oss(a)gmail.com
Reporter: tomspur(a)fedoraproject.org

When czmq has been rebuild against zeromq-4 in bug #1165553, this is the last
package, that depends on zeromq3.
Would it be possible to retire this package and add a perl-ZMQ-LibZMQ4 package,
if needed? Maybe it is also possible to just use the perl-ZMQ-LibZMQ (which
should always be build against the latest version of zeromq)?
I'd like to retire zeromq3 as soon as the depending packages have been ported
to zeromq-4.
Current dependencies of this packages are:
repoquery --disablerepo \* --enablerepo rawhide --repoid=rawhide --whatrequires
perl-ZMQ-LibZMQ3
amavisd-new-zeromq-0:2.10.1-1.fc22.noarch

[Bug 1375826] New: perl-Gtk2-WebKit will be removed with webkitgtk
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1375826
Bug ID: 1375826
Summary: perl-Gtk2-WebKit will be removed with webkitgtk
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: perl-Gtk2-WebKit
Assignee: fedora(a)famillecollet.com
Reporter: mcatanzaro(a)gnome.org
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora(a)famillecollet.com,
perl-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Blocks: 1375784 (webkit1-removal)
The webkitgtk package will be removed from rawhide after Fedora 26 is branched
due to the high number of unfixed security vulnerabilities. You must remove
this dependency or your package will not be present in Fedora 27.
Please refer to [1] for a FAQ on this matter and be advised that for some
packages this may require a substantial amount of work.
Note: I presume perl-Gtk2-WebKit is a bindings package specifically intended to
provide WebKit bindings for GTK+ 2 bindings, so there's nothing to be done here
except retire the package. This bug is just to serve as a heads-up.

External Bug ID: Debian BTS 833030
Description of problem:
...
use base qw{My::Module}
...
causes:
Base class package 'My::Module' is empty
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.22.2
How reproducible:
Every time
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add "use base module_name" to source file
2. compile
3.
Actual results:
as above
Expected results:
it complies ok (it did before security update).
Additional info:
This is essentially the same debian bugreport 833030, but there the version of
perl is 5.14.
I guess the same comments apply, I'm really only submitting this as a bug here
because others might be looking.
I used the work around of adding "use My::Module".
