Summary: new version available and shipped version has
disappeared
Product: Fedora EPEL
Version: el5
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: low
Component: perl-Spreadsheet-ParseExcel
AssignedTo: steve(a)silug.org
ReportedBy: pertusus(a)free.fr

Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
The source for this package cannot be found anymore.
I noticed this because I found a bug when parsing an excel document. My wild
guess is that the issue is in the OLE parser, but it would certainly be better
to update this software anyway given that the previous source disappeared.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.3200-2.el5

[Bug 1230486] New: Remove BuildRequires on glibc-headers, and remove Requires on glibc-headers.
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1230486
Bug ID: 1230486
Summary: Remove BuildRequires on glibc-headers, and remove
Requires on glibc-headers.
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: perl-Config-AutoConf
Assignee: psabata(a)redhat.com
Reporter: codonell(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: perl-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org, psabata(a)redhat.com
The BuildRequires on glibc-headers should either be removed or converted into a
BuildRequires: gcc. Either you need to be able to compile C programs, in which
case the compiler will provide the required implementation headers (by
requiring glibc-devel), or you don't need glibc-headers.
The Requires on glibc-headers should also be removed. The development libraries
and headers will be used by developers via BuildRequires, but along with
BuildRequires: gcc or similar, and thus they will have installed all the
headers that are required to use perl-Config-AutoConf for C or other languages.
The reason I'm asking this is that glibc-headers may or may not be removed in
the future, and I'm looking to remove what appears to be unnecessary
dependencies on glibc-headers.

[Bug 1119926] New: add perl-Spreadsheet-ParseExcel into epel7
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1119926
Bug ID: 1119926
Summary: add perl-Spreadsheet-ParseExcel into epel7
Product: Fedora EPEL
Version: epel7
Component: perl-Spreadsheet-ParseExcel
Assignee: steve(a)silug.org
Reporter: bugzilla(a)dm.cobite.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: mpeters(a)mac.com, perl-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
psabata(a)redhat.com, steve(a)silug.org
Package is not available for epel7, but is in epel6 (and fedora obviously)
It has some dependencies which are probably going to need to be built as well.
I get this with yum-builddep:
Error: No Package found for perl(Crypt::RC4)
Error: No Package found for perl(Digest::Perl::MD5)
Error: No Package found for perl(Jcode)
Error: No Package found for perl(Unicode::Map)
However it appears that:
perl-Crypt-RC4 is available in epel6
perl-Digest-Perl-MD5 is available in epel6
perl-Jcode is available in epel6
perl-Unicode-Map is available in epel6
