Are there XML Schemas for the repo files available anywhere please ?

XML name space URI is just an identifier. There does not have to be any
document or a service reachable. Even the domain name does not have to
exist.
That does not mean that the format (e.g. as an XML Schema) should no be
somewhere documented.
